Hi I'm Marie musc I've been cardmaking for almost four years now but have done other crafts such as dressmaking, knitting, cake decorating and embroidery for as long as I can remember. I'm just getting into stamping although I've played around for a few years, I love Lavinia and Clarity stamps and I'm really into using the brayer especially when it behaves itself

Hope you like my work feel free to comment.

Embossing on acetate

ivory pealised card with silver embossed Lavinia stamp (again I hear you say) lol, I then embossed the names and date onto acetate, the horse and carriage is a double embossed peel off, with an ivory bow, which is the same colour as the card although it doesn't look like on the scanned pic

Anniversary 50th

This is an order from my nail technician's Mum, I used cream pearlised card, the stamp on the right hand corner was stamped with versamark, using detail gold embossing powder, I love this little stamp as it can be built up, I used my cricut basic george for the names, added a double engraved peel off on the same pearlised card so its raised from the card, the greeting was made up of individual peel offs mat and layered.

Mens Cards

A selection of mens cards

First Holy Communion

you've probably noticed I've used the trailing leaves again, its my fave at the moment, they are silver embossed but look different colours due to scanner I embossed the flowers with silver glitter embossing powders , the porcelaine figure is mounted set onto a piece of card then a foil frame is mounted with foam pads, I added bow to match the head dress and used the cricut for the name.

First Birthday

A first Birthday card for my sister's friends daughter This is an A4 pearlised card folded lengthwise, I like using this size with the cricut as I can use large letters which become the primary element, I added two very small decoupage images for corners. Can you tell Lavinia stamps are my fave at the moment. Used trailing Leaves for this one I didn't have a suitable colour so made some using clear embossing powder and glitter, just need to make an envelope now

Birthday book Challenge

I used ute for the cfs stamp and rubbed with a gold wax to make it look like an old seal, the butterflies were stamped with versamark and dusted with moonglow powder, the background is done with my brayer over torn paper to give the raggedy edges. I then dotted with liquid pearls and sprinkled with hollographic glitter.

Welcome to Marie's Mess

Welcome to my Mess I do try to keep it ship shape but doesn't last long. I can't really do much on my blog as I am on dial up (can't get BB in the area I live in grrr)it takes so long to download or add links, then when I finally do add stuff I find they don't work, like the playlists and clock, so sorry but I'm sticking to the basics.

The Beat Goes On

The Beat Goes On
I was invited to the opening of an exhibition at the Liverpool Museum, The Beat Goes On is a history of music from Liverpool. A dress I wore when I was a dancer in a band was in the exhibition, so my sister and I went along and had a great night, met lots of peeps we hadn't seen for over 20 years, I took my camera but this is the only photograph that worked, this is taken in my living room, i did take two at the exhibition but they didnt work lol so now I am frantically texting the peeps we met and asking them to send their pics to me
